About this book
"Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl’s Confabulous Memoir” is a coming-of-age story about a young Asian trans girl, a pathological liar and kung fu expert who runs away from her violent family home in a rainy city called Gloom. As she sets out on her own, she finds her true family amongst a group of legendary trans women who have made their home in a mysterious red-light district known only as the Street of Miracles. Under the wing of this tough and fabulous group, she blossoms into the woman she’d always wanted to be, with a little help from the unscrupulous Doctor Crocodile. When one of them is brutally murdered, our protagonist joins her sisters to form a vigilante group and fight back against the transphobes, violent punters and police officers who are making the Street of Miracles unsafe. But when things go horribly wrong, she must find the truth within herself to stop the violence and discover what it really means to grow up and find her family.
