About this book
There are many ways to pray: giving thanks, remaining silent, lamenting, or speaking in your mind to someone you love or to yourself. It has its own unique meaning for everyone. This book sheds new light on this age-old practice.
Annemiek Schrijver has selected moving prayers and added them to a collection of prayers from around the world, drawn from age-old traditions: those of the Egyptians, the Jews, the Christians, the Muslims and the Buddhists. The result is a collection that you can read, recite and pray, whatever your background.
Annemiek Schrijver (1964) produces radio and television programmes. She was brought up in the Free Reformed Church and now follows her own path, incorporating Buddhist and Gnostic elements.
