About this book
This is the most substantial work Rev. Veldkamp has written and, alongside his well-known series on the prophets, probably also his most beloved work. The reviews below give an impression of the high regard in which this work has been held by the Christian press: ‘Every time I use these books, I find myself thinking in surprise: How can anyone always put it so beautifully, so aptly and so clearly?’ ‘A great strength of this book is that the author never becomes pompous. He tries to express things in plain Dutch and to use everyday imagery. He has succeeded very well in this.’
